   Resting AssessmentVo2 test


The first phase is the resting assessment which takes 15 min's . This measures your body's metabolic rate. This is how efficient your body is at burning fat and carbohydrates at rest.
Also accurately showing you how many calories are burnt.          
                                                    
With this knowledge we can produce a program to improve this figure which will make your body more efficient at burning fat. This is essential for  weight loss.

    V02 Assessment

Vo2 Test
The second phase is the exercise assessment which takes 15 min's. This measures your Aerobic base, Anaerobic Threshold, gives you a V02 & Watts score at peak and max if required. 
With all this information we can set up all your heart-rate training zones.
In addition the test will show you your percentage of fat and carbohydrates burnt at each training zone. 
Watts Score 20-25 watt increments if required.

With all the results we can set a programme to raise you AB improve your AT and V02 and make your body more efficient at burning Fat . You will also receive charts and information to help you achieve your goals.                                             


   Preparation before Assessment

Have that Edge
No food, Coffee or tea  for 12 hrs before test You can drink water. 
No exercise the day before making sure your body is rested .
The test requires you to be on a normal diet and not on a high protein diet such as Atkins. This can conflict with the results . If you are on such a diet we recommend to switch to a normal diet for at least 4 days prior to assessment.

Once the test has been completed, together we will assess and discuss the results with you.
We will then ask you your goals & objectives.
This could be improving your time, winning a race, running a 5K or loosing 10 Kilos.               
Then producing a 12 wk programme designed around you .
